Labour Spent £8 Million on Migrant Hotels Last Week. Your Nan Is Still Waiting for a Hip Replacement.

Eight million pounds. That's what the British taxpayer spent last week. Just last week. Housing asylum seekers in hotels across the country.
Four-star hotels. En-suite bathrooms. Three meals a day. Wifi. Laundry service.
Meanwhile, your nan has been on a waiting list for a hip replacement since 2024. Your kid can't get a dentist. Your local A&E has a twelve-hour wait time. But don't worry. The Holiday Inn on the ring road is full of people who arrived on dinghies and they're doing great.
The Home Office confirmed the figures in a written parliamentary answer last month. The total bill for asylum accommodation now runs north of £400 million a year. Hotels alone account for a staggering chunk of that.
Every single one of those hotel rooms is a room that could be booked by a British tourist. A British family on holiday. A business traveller. Instead, they're block-booked by the government and paid for by you.
The hotel owners love it. Guaranteed income. No vacancies. No bad TripAdvisor reviews. The government pays above market rate because, well, it's not their money. It's yours.
Here's what £8 million a week could buy instead: - 160 new nurses. Every week. - 200 new police officers. Every week. - 1,600 hip replacements. Every week.
But we chose hotels.
Nobody voted for this. No manifesto promised it. No politician stood on a stage and said "elect me and I'll spend your money housing foreign nationals in Holiday Inns while your grandmother freezes in a hospital corridor."
They just did it. And they keep doing it. And if you complain about it, you're a racist.
The system isn't broken. It's working exactly as designed. Just not for you.
